Precision Pulsed TIG Welding is ideal for joining small components that are heat sensitive and require a joint that is hermetic and mechanically sound.  At Invacua we use precision power sources combined with a welding lathe for circumferential autogenous welding of precision machined components.

Precision TIG Welding

  • At Invacua we use precision power sources combined with a welding lathe for circumferential autogenous welding of precision machined components.
  • The technique is extremely repeatable producing high integrity welds of excellent appearance in a range of corrosion and heat resisiting materials.
  • Components are joined without a filler rod, so with a good joint design and tooling, heat input is often lower than for EB welding, making the process ideal for electronic encapsulation.
  • Assemblies joined by this technique at Invacua include Thermocouple junctions, Bellows, Diaphragms, Pressure Sensors, Tube/end cap assemblies etc.

Laser Welding 

  • Offering exceptionally high levels of consistency, controlled levels of penetration, finer weld seams, faster processing speeds and reduced heat input with little or no distortion.
  • Suitable for a variety of different welding applications, with laser welding systems that range in power from 10W up to 25kW.
  • Capable of joining materials that can’t be welded by other techniques - including Plastics, Dissimilar Metals and Alloys and Precious Metals.
  • Equally suitable for delicate small precision items and parts, through to huge and heavy press tools and automotive assemblies.
